"Luxury exemplified" is the only way to describe the new "W" hotels. Every detail exudes style, modernity, glamour, and cutting edge design. When the latest "W" opened in Hollywood at the intersection of Hollywood and Vine, CRL was proud to be one of the manufacturers and suppliers adding to the drama and luxury of this spectacular hotel.
Our GRS Glass Railing, featuring our TAPER-LOC™ Dry Glaze Railing System, shines in the main entrance lobby and entry areas. On the exterior, our glass railing system surrounds each and every graceful balcony. With glass railings, the exterior achieves a "brilliant transparency" so hotel guests can absorb the view unobstructed from their balconies. At the same time, the architectural elements of the exterior design are evident to all as they approach the W Hollywood from afar.
A powder-coated finish was used for the exterior and polished stainless steel with ½" tempered glass for the interior stair rails, balconies, and sky bridge.
Infinity edge pools are a signature element in "W" hotels, and the W Hollywood utilizes our glass windscreen system around the pool with our mechanical glass entry gates for easy access.
We partnered with Custom Components out of Florida for this project. Close to 4,300 lineal feet of fascia and surface mounted heavy glass base shoe was installed, with CRL top rails and handrails as well.
Our scope also included windscreens around the rooftop party deck, the cabana, and fitness area.
The collaboration was a great success and will definitely stand as a visible testament to the high quality, beauty, and innovation of our architectural hardware products. We're proud to be part of the cutting-edge style of the W Hollywood at the epicenter of the entertainment capital.
